Renault Logan Stepway is a front-wheel drive cross-sedan of the subcompact category (aka B-community by European standards), which combines all the features of an inexpensive and practical family car with the advantages of high ground clearance ... Its predominant target audience is urban residents (both men and women) who, for various reasons, have to periodically leave the boundaries of asphalt roads ...

The official premiere of the second-generation "raised" Renault Logan, which received the Stepway prefix to the name, took place at the end of August 2018 - within the framework of the International Moscow Auto Show (although it was announced on the Web a few weeks before this event).

This four-door was "prepared" according to the same recipe as the Sandero cross-hatchback - by adding an "all-terrain" body kit around the perimeter of the body and increasing the ground clearance.

Outside, it will not be difficult to recognize Renault Logan Stepway against the background of the standard version - its distinctive features are a body raised high above the ground, which is encircled by protective "armor" made of unpainted plastic, and is crowned with inscriptions with the name of the version, as well as "metal" front and rear bumper covers.

The cross-sedan is 4359 mm long, 1733 mm wide, and does not exceed 1517 mm in height. The vehicle has a wheelbase of 2634 mm, and its ground clearance is 195 mm.

Interior

Inside, the "all-terrain" Renault Logan completely repeats its basic "brother" - a nice design, well-thought-out ergonomics, exceptionally budget materials for finishing and a five-seat layout.

In an identical way, he has things with cargo capacity - the trunk of a three-volume in a normal state is able to "absorb" up to 510 liters of luggage.

Specifications

For the second generation Logan in the cross-version of Stepway, the same engines are offered as for the base model - these are four-cylinder gasoline "aspirated" 1.6-liter displaced fuel, 8- or 16-valve timing and variable valve timing system having the following performance values:

  • 82 horsepower at 5000 rpm and 134 Nm of torque at 2800 rpm;
  • 102 h.p. at 5750 rpm and 145 Nm of rotational potential at 3750 rpm;
  • 113 h.p. at 5500 rpm and 152 Nm of available thrust at 4000 rpm.

Engines with 82 and 113 hp. are combined exclusively with a 5-speed "mechanics" and a front-wheel drive transmission, while the 102-horsepower unit relies only on a 4-band "automatic".

Design features

In the Russian market, Renault Logan Stepway is offered in four versions - Life, Life City, Drive and Drive City, and only the "city" versions are equipped with a 113-horsepower engine with an X-Tronic variator.
