"Basic" Porsche Panamera II

The German company Porsche continues to increase the number of modifications of the second generation five-door luxury fastback Panamera - at the car show in Los Angeles, which opened the doors to visitors in November 2016, the world's debut celebrated the simplest version of the model without additional letter indices.

Such a car (in addition to the derated engine from the "Eski") was the only one in the family that received a classic rear-wheel drive (although an all-wheel drive transmission is available for a surcharge), however, it has not undergone visual and structural changes.

On the road, the "second" Porsche Panamera will definitely not be left without attention - the five-door attracts the eye with a beautiful, athletic and expressive look, which perfectly coexists with the "design language" of the 911.

The fastback looks like a real sports car - with elongated, dynamic outlines, spectacular lighting technology, pronounced "shoulders", a quartet of exhaust pipes and, in general, aerodynamically honed forms.

In terms of its dimensions, the Panamera is a full-size car (F-class by European standards): it measures 5049 mm, 1937 mm and 1423 mm in length, width and height, respectively, and has a 2950 mm wheelbase between the axles. The "travel" weight of the hatch varies from 1815 to 1850 kg, depending on the type of drive.

Inside the Porsche Panamera of the second generation is made in the concept of "Porsche Advanced Cockpit" - the main part of the keys is replaced by sensors. In the center of the symmetrical interior is a 12.3-inch touchscreen of the multimedia complex, at the “foot” of which there are touch panels (with several “physical” keys), from which the “microclimate”, “music” and other functions are controlled. Right in front of the pilot's eyes there is a modern "toolbox" with a tachometer at the head, to which 7-inch screens adjoin on both sides, and a relief multi-steering wheel with paddle shifters "lies" in his hands. The quality of finish and workmanship is on par with Porsche.

The decoration of the car is designed strictly for four people (there is plenty of free space in all directions) - both front and rear riders fall into the arms of sports seats with a pronounced profile and hard filler, and in the first case, even with heating and electric settings.

Behind the second row is a 495-liter trunk of the correct shape, under the floor of which there is a subwoofer and a repair kit (there is no "spare wheel" for the five-door). The "gallery" is divided into three independently folding segments, which are compared to the floor and increase the "hold" to 1304 liters.

Specifications. The "heart" of the second "release" of the Porsche Panamera is an aluminum V6 gasoline engine with a volume of 2.9 liters with direct injection, two turbochargers located in the camber, a variable valve timing mechanism at the inlet and outlet and a 24-valve timing. He has 330 "stallions" in service at 5400-6400 rpm and 450 Nm of available potential at 1340-4900 rpm. By default, the power unit directs all traction to the rear wheels by means of an 8-speed PDK "robot", and for a surcharge it is equipped with an all-wheel drive transmission with a multi-plate PTM clutch (with electronic control and the possibility of rigid locking), which takes torque to the front axle.

Even in the least powerful version, the second-generation Panamera “flaunts” good characteristics: the maximum five-door accelerates to 262-264 km / h, “eating” the first “hundred” after 5.5-5.7 seconds. For every 100 km of track in the combined cycle, the car “digests” 7.5-7.7 liters of fuel.

At the heart of the Porsche Panamera is the new MSB bogie with aluminum front and rear suspensions (in the first case on double wishbones, and in the second - a multi-link system), technology for adjusting the stiffness of the PASM shock absorbers and a fully-steered Porsche 4D-Chassis Control chassis. The body of the car is almost all-aluminum: heat-strengthened and boron steels are used only in places that are critical for passive safety.
The five-door has powerful brakes with six-piston front and four-piston rear mechanisms, "clamping" ventilated discs with a diameter of 350 mm and 330 mm, respectively. The fastback is equipped with an electromechanical amplifier with a variable gear ratio.

Options and prices. To Russian buyers, the "basic" Porsche Panamera 2016-2017 is offered at a price of 6,099,000 rubles, and the all-wheel drive version with the index "4" costs 278,000 rubles more. The standard equipment of the car includes eight airbags, wheel rims with a diameter of 19 inches, ABS, EBD, parking assistance technology, LED headlights and lights, an audio system with ten speakers, a multimedia center, dual-zone "climate", heated and electric front seats, leather trim salon and much more.
