We think that it is no longer necessary to explain what the “TUV vehicle reliability rating” is (and if someone does not know, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the TUV ratings of previous years (TUV 2008, TUV 2007) - there is also an explanation of the “essence of TUV”). We present you another rating of the reliability of cars according to the experts of the German technical control service (TUV 2009).

The new 2009 TUV ranking is based on a survey of 7,702,477 vehicles over the past year. Recall that the main value of this rating is that the inspection that cars undergo involves not only identifying defects in the most important components, but also checking: backlash, electrical and corrosive state of the body.

As usual, all cars are categorized by age group: 2 ~ 3 years old, 4 ~ 5 years old, 6 ~ 7 years old, etc. The places in the rating table are distributed according to the reliability of the vehicles (indicating the percentage of serious malfunctions that occur in the average annual mileage).

I would like to note the leader of the TUV 2009 rating (in the age group 2 ~ 3 years), i.e. the most reliable car of this year in Germany is the compact Toyota Corolla Verso (the percentage of significant malfunctions of which was only 2%). Recall that last year (TUV 2008) the most reliable car was Mazda3.
