For a long time, a brighter and more colorful car has not been brought to Russia - a swift, streamlined silhouette, a "mirror" strip of front optics, short overhangs at the back and front ... The Honda Civic car evokes associations with a space fighter from Star Wars. Usually, at the end of auto shows, a bright concept fades "under the influence of the realities of marketing", but this did not happen with the 5-door Honda Civic.

The car is rich in many such little things that catch the eye and create a mood. For example, the triangular holes of the muffler and similar forms of fog lights, and the rear door handles are camouflaged, as in the Alfa Romeo 156, while the front ones are made in the form of arrows directed forward. The Honda Civic gas tank cap (it's a pity that it is plastic) is designed to look like a sports one. On the rear door, again in a sporty style, there is a wing that improves stability at high speeds, but impairs visibility. Maybe this is with a hint that the driver of the futuristic Honda Civic has no reason to look back.

But surprise can be caused not only by the appearance of the Honda Civic hatchback, if you look inside ... there will be no less delight. A 3-spoke steering wheel is comfortably in the hands of the driver, which has the “correct” size, thickenings in the grip zones and, again, an original design. To the left of it is the engine start button and the stove deflector. On the right (symmetrically to the left-hand tools) there are controls for temperature and blowing intensity. The tachometer is located right in the center of the dashboard, and along its sides are indicators for gasoline level and coolant temperature. The speed is reflected on the LCD panel of the speedometer, just above the tachometer.

Up front, the Honda Civic has bucket seats with excellent lateral support and anatomical profile. There is a lot of free space for the driver's and front passenger's feet. The back is no less spacious. It's amazing, but the Honda Civic is one of the leaders in the class in terms of trunk space - as much as 415 liters!

Starting the engine with a key is not interesting ... but in a Honda Civic it is also impossible. For this, the car has a "Start Engine" button. The key is only needed to turn on the ignition. Then you need to press the button.

With soundproofing, the Honda Civic is moderate - the pleasant notes of a 1.8-liter Honda engine are heard, but they do not subside immediately so as not to disturb those who expect comfort and silence from the car. And the 140-horsepower Honda Civic engine is high-spirited, traditionally resourceful, pleasant to the ear and pleasantly stimulates the vestibular apparatus.
A mechanical 6-speed gearbox allows you to accelerate to a hundred on as much as 2 seconds faster than with its robotic version. There will be no automatic transmission in Honda Civic hatchbacks, but in terms of ease of use, the “robot” is not much inferior to it.

The force-filled steering wheel of the Honda Civic, which sharply communicates commands to the wheels, is instantly addictive - this is real driving pleasure. You want to avoid straight sections of the road, and your eyes involuntarily seek out turns and targets for overtaking and rebuilding. Low ground clearance, fairly stiff suspension, 17-inch wheels with low-profile tires are linked into a single almost racing tool that can satisfy many driver's ambitions. The Honda Civic is an extremely sharp car to drive, devoid of roll in corners, tenaciously following in a given direction. For these advantages it is necessary to pay for the lack of comfort on a bumpy road, and, unfortunately, there are still plenty of them in Russia.

Two pairs of Honda Civic disc brakes are extremely effective, and the participation of electronic assistance systems is imperceptible, as if they are not there, and you yourself cope with the situation. Fully confident drivers will appreciate the ability to completely switch the Honda Civic under their control: the VSA system is completely deactivated at the push of a button.

Honda Civic 5D is good in almost everything - looks, aggressive driving capabilities at the highest level ... effective and efficient. And people usually order a sedan. Why?
Well, the first big reason is the price. The starting price of the Honda Civic hatchback is $ 5,000 higher than the sedan. Not everyone is willing to pay this money, mainly for looks and a pronounced sporty style.
The second reason is character. The fact is that more rigid settings, a rear roll beam, lower ground clearance and low-profile tires negatively affect comfort. It would seem, why comfort, is it a sporty Civic? But the sedan retains the sharpness of control with a decent level of comfort.

The five-door Honda Civic with a 1.8 liter engine starts at $ 24,900.
